01/08/2018 - Windsor and Ascot Driving Group

Sarah Clunie, Group Organiser, and Sue Rigby, Group Treasurer, from the Windsor and Ascot Driving Group attended Ascot Rotary’s lunchtime meeting today to give Rotary an overview of the Driving Groups activities and to thank Club President Colin for the kind donation of £500 to help with the purchase of a new driving carriage.

The Windsor and Ascot Driving Group, who use the facilities at the Ascot race course, enables disabled people to learn how to drive ponies and to enjoy an outdoor activity with animals and other people. Many disabled people in the local and surrounding areas who would otherwise find it impossible to pursue an outdoor activity have benefited from the recreational and social therapy that this pastime provides.
