Jacqui Butcher writes . . . The meeting commenced with President Hilary reporting on the recent
challenge to Rotary for a ‘skittles evening’. This proved to be a fun evening
with Rotary winning by a small margin, therefore taking the shield home. Moya
Harvey was thanked for arranging the evening, and we hope that this will become
an annual event.
Jane
Short is working hard for Tom Conlin’s next convoy and is accepting donations
of medical items and toiletries, coats, shoes and bedding. Please contact her
if you can help. £180 has been sent to Mercy Ships, which will go towards a
recreation lounge for the staff.
Alice
Pack has offered to host a Tea Party in the summer in aid of Marie Curie Cancer
Care – confirmation will be given later.
Plans
for our Birthday Anniversary Lunch at the Carnation Hall, Winkfield Row, on
Friday, 7th March, are going well. Volunteer helpers are asked to arrive at
10.50 a.m.
Four
members recently visited Wokingham Inner Wheel club for an Italian Evening,
with Ann Chance as the speaker. Details of other invitations have been
circulated – if interested please contact Sue Price.

Fashion Show is being held on 14th March, 7 for 7.30 p.m., in aid of Leukaemia
Research. If interested contact President Hilary for further details. The cost
is £5.
Please note that as from April the cost of the
meal at our Inner Wheel evening meeting will be £14.25
