Friends Programme, May 2008For the May Friend’s meeting we were very pleased to welcome back for the third time David Duff whose previous talks were the Sea Battles of Trafalgar, Jutland and Midway and the Waterloo Campaign – the three days leading up to the famous battle. This time David spoke on the actual Battle of Waterloo itself bringing the whole battle alive on his Whiteboard. For the June Friends meeting we are very pleased to welcome back Ian Keable who gave a talk to us in January 2007 entitled “From Ledger to Legerdemain” and will entertain us on June 11th with an “Evening of Magic” Ian used to be an accountant but is now a magical comedian and mind reader.
