Friends Programme, February 2008

The Rotary Club Friends Evening meeting on Wednesday March 12th will be a Lecture Evening on DVT at Boehringer-Ingelheim, Ellesfield Avenue, Bracknell RG12 8YS. Funds raised will be donated to Anti Coagulation Europe.

Boehringer-Ingelheim continue to present a series of Lectures on current Medical Topics with top Professors lecturing. The Guest Speaker on March 12th speaking on DVT will be Prof. Ajay K. Kakkar BSc, MBBS (Hons), PhD, FRCS from the Thrombosis Research Institute.

It would be appreciated if all attendees could be available to be processed through the security gate at 1830 or soon afterwards in order that a 1900 prompt start can be made for the Lecture. The Lecture plus questions has lasted approximately one hour on previous occasions.

The Lecture is followed by a superb finger buffet with drinks and fellowship until 2130. Our host at Boehringer-Ingelheim will the Managing Director of UK & Ireland Uwe Weiler – from our own club.

The invitation is open to both you and your wife/partner.

As in previous lectures although there is no charge for this evening it is proposed that we each donate £10 on this occasion to the Anti Coagulation Europe charity. These donations will be collected at the entrance to the Lecture Room area as in previous Lectures.

If you wish to attend this Lecture Evening or give apologies please e-mail Mike Price. There will be a limit of 100 people attending this lecture – so if you wish to attend please do so promptly.

Many thanks

Peter
