Friends Programme, February 2007

For the February Friends meeting on Wednesday 14th February we welcomed Brian Payne – giving a talk entitled “From Bagnal driver to Property Master in the British Film Industry”. Brian highlighted the role of the Property Master including the procurement or production, inventory, care and maintenance of all props associated with productions, ensuring that they are available on time, and within budgetary requirements. They also ensure that selected props suit the film's style and overall design, and that they accurately reflect the production's time period and culture. Brian included many anecdotes re well known stars in his very interesting talk based on a lifetime career.
