Charity Dinner supports Bangladesh Cyclone Relief Work

Rotarians from local Rotary Clubs, including Ascot, Bracknell and Heathrow, enjoyed a Charity Dinner last week, hosted by local restaurateur Mogsud Khan at the Rajvoorg restaurant in Sunninghill, in aid of the continuing relief work in Bangladesh following Cyclone Sidr.  Attendees enjoyed an excellent 3 course curry meal, and heard an update form Mogsud about the situation in Bangladesh.

The evening raised £400 in aid of this important cause.  Bangladesh is still feeling the effects of Cyclone Sidr which struck before Christmas, and relief work is still going on to prevent disease from running rampant and to provide essential support to families and the elderly until the cleanup is completed and normal supply routes can reopen.

Event organiser, Rotarian Moya Harvey, of the Rotary Club of Heathrow said “We are always pleased work in conjunction with local businesses to raise money in aid of those in need around the world”.
