Christmas Cheer
Members of the Rotary Club of Ascot were in Sunningdale last weekend for their annual Christmas collection, which took place outside the Waitrose supermarket. Live music was provided to shoppers during the morning and afternoon - on Friday, the music was by Elite Strollers, a Traditional jazz band. On Saturday a brass quartet played carols.
The main beneficiary organisation of this
year’s collection is the “Children with Special Needs Foundation”, a charity
which was established in 1995 with a sole purpose to help children with special
needs in the Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire region.
The two-day collection raised £1,750, which will be divided between the Foundation and Rotary Club of Ascot local charities.
