Our 2009 Charity Golf
Day took place at Chobham Golf Club on the 3rd of September, and with
the help of our sponsors and competitors we raised over £9,000
for our 2 chosen charities. CLICK HERE to see some photos. The charities to benefit this year were Sebastian’s
Action Trust which supports those children suffering with cancer,
together with their families who are caring for them, and Christopher’s
Smile which is a local organisation
which aims to raise money to fund development of new drugs to treat
childhood cancers, in partnership with the Institute
of Cancer Research.
We would like to thank everbody who helped to make the day a sucess,
including the players, the organisations who sponsored the event, the
organisations who donated prizes and the volunteers who helped in the
preparation and running of the event. We have already arranged the date for the 2010 golf day - this will be Thursday 16th of September 2010, and by popular demand will again be held at Chobham Golf Club We look forward to seeing you there. Rotarian Colin Corio,
