Ascot Day Centre, Sunninghill

Isle of Wight June 25th 2010

Jackie Maggie and Audrey escorted 30 members to the Isle of Wight for 4 days. The trip started well with a good crossing. On arrival the Hotel put on a welcome party with champagne on the terrace overlooking the sea. We then all found and settled into the comfortable accommodation. After a very tasty supper the evening was filled with bingo and entertainment from the shows. Some members preferring to enjoy the view with a drink or two in the bar. 

The next day we visited Newport for a spot of retail therapy. On the Sunday we split into 2 parties one visited Osborne House the other experienced a performance of The Dancing Waters. We then headed back to the hotel in time for the England v Germany match DISASTER!! We needed a drink to commiserate. 

In the evening some of us had our palms read followed by an evening with a comedian. We had fabulous weather for the whole time which enabled us to take advantage of the suburb facilities available at the hotel, some even came back with a suntan. 

On the Monday we had a pleasant journey back home. We all enjoyed ourselves so much that we have booked for next year.
