Ascot Day Centre, Sunninghill

£7,600 for Ascot Day Centre

President David Marshall of the Rotary Club of Ascot was in Sunninghill last week to present a cheque for £7,602 to Ascot Day Centre. On hand to receive the presentation was Jackie Mann, manager of the day centre, together with representatives of the board of trustees and a number of the clients.

The cheque represented the £5,602 proceeds from Sunninghill Wheelbarrow Race, which was run on New Years day, plus an additional donation of £2,000 from the Rotary Club charity fund as a contribution towards the costs of refurbishing the toilet facilities in the Day Centre, to make them more accessible for clients with limited mobility.

President David said afterwards “The Rotary Club of Ascot has a long history of providing support to the Day Centre, and I hope we will be able to continue to do so in the future”.
