Ascot Natural Health Centre
The Ascot Natural Health Centre ran five sessions which were very informative. We all learnt new approaches to maintaining our health and the Centre have offered the members discounted rates, if anyone is interested in pursuing further consultations. The Day Centre would like to say thank-you to all of the therapists involved.
November 5th
On Nov 5th , we ran a trip to Wicksteed Park in Leicestershire to see a show called The Way We Were, a nostalgic musical journey through the 1950’s and 60’s. This was a great day trip out which incorporated a show, lunch and afternoon tea. It was a long day, but was very much enjoyed by all. (No photo’s)
November 20th
Our Turkey and Tinsel Christmas trip this year was to the Hadleigh Hotel, Eastbourne. Jackie and Maggie, along with Pete the driver, accompanied approximately 25 of our members to a pre Xmas weekend which incorporated a mock Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. As usual, although there were two other parties in the Hotel, our party was the one to be noticed! Many of our members won prizes in the Fancy Dress competition which was themed as “Musical Shows”. (See photo’s)
We also won the trivia Quiz, gave a fair rally at the Bingo! The members gave superb feedback on the food and staff which contributed to a fabulous weekend!
DECEMBER
December 2nd
British Airways very kindly offered us 10 tickets to see their annual Pantomine at the Becks Theatre, Hayes. This year, the show was ALI BABA and the 40 thieves Eric Haddon, accompanied by Maggie, very kindly drove us there and returned us all back to our homes after an entertaining afternoon.
December 7th
We had a trip to Cheapside School to see their infant children perform a Christmas production.
December 9th and 15th - CHRISTMAS
On Wednesday 9th and Tuesday 15th December we had our in house Christmas Parties. We received a wonderful Xmas Lunch made for us by Christine and Lisa in our own kitchens. The entertainment was provided by the Rah Rah Theatre Company and really was superb! The cast involved everybody by name and incorporated a mini panto which had us all laughing and included communal singing. This was then followed by afternoon tea and Christmas Cake. All members were given a Christmas present donated by the Day Centre but presented by Father Christmas!
